Winemaker Notes

….The wine produced, our second vintage from this vineyard, exhibits dark cherry notes with accents of baking spices- classic characteristics of fruit from the Sta. Rita Hills.

This rendition was made with a modicum of stem inclusion giving a sweet floral lift to the aromas and a gentle buttress of tannin. This Drum Canyon Pinot is a bit reticent upon opening but it blossoms quickly and soon reaches its plateau – where it will linger for hours – hitting crescendos along the way.

Uncensored, sexy nose, dreamsicle, upper register aromas
Fruit a bit reticent at first,
Silky texture as wine slowly unwinds and
Continues its ascent- an hour later fruit really starts to show
Finish is firm with moderate tannins.
